Senchado (the way of drinking steeped green leaf tea)

This appeared in the middle Edo period when sencha became popular. Baisao (Ko Yugai) was its founder. Later many books about sencha were published, beginning with Ueda Akinari's Seifusagen, then in the later Edo period, literati including Tanomura Chikuden, Rai Sanyo, Aoki Mokubei and so on, loved sencha. Tanaka Kakuo, Ogawa Kashin and other specialists also appeared, establishing the way of sencha.
