Connoiseurs of the way of furyu (refined taste). '数寄 (suki) , was originally written 好き(suki, meaning 'to like'). In the Muromachi period it referred to those who liked waka and renga, but in the Azuchi-Momoyama period it came to mean tea practitioner.
