Rikyu gonomi

Tea utensils whose colour, form and size were to Rikyu's design. As things which transmit Rikyu's spirit of wabi-cha, the ten Senke craftsmen have preserved and handed down the form and size that was preferred by Rikyu for the utensils he had made. In the Raku tea bowls made by Chojiro, there is a little difference according to the time it was made, but the large, medium and small sizes of the Rikyu gonomi natsume (tea container shaped like a natsume or jujube) have been handed down and preserved since the time of the third generation craftsman, Nakamura Sotetsu.
