Daishikai

In Meiji 29 (1896) Masuda Don'o, who had obtained the remains of some of Kobo Daishi's writing, held a tea gathering at his residence on Daishi's memorial day to show them to his guests. After that it was held every year. In Taisho 11 (1922) it became a foundation and along with the Koetsukai it continues to this day as one of the two big tea gatherings for sukisha.
