Located in Sakai in Osaka prefecture, it is a sub-temple of the Rinzai sect's Daitoku-ji temple. It was built in Koji 3 (1557) and founded by Dairin Soto, It was important as a base for linking Takeno Joo, Sen no Rikyu, Tsuda Sogyu and the other tea practitioners of Sakai of that time, to Zen.
