Rikyugata

These are utensils and folk objects which already existed in the long history of tea drinking and which were selected by Rikyu. There are utensils for kaiseki (chanoyu cuisine), such as sake pourers and hot water pourers, which existed before the time of Rikyu. These are called 'Rikyugata' to distinguish them from 'Rikyu gonomi' that were designed by Rikyu.
