Senke Jusshoku

The ten designated craftsmen families are called Senke Jusshoku. In Taisho 4 (1915), when a department store held an exhibition of the utensils that the craftsmen had made to the Iemotos' designs, they were called 'Senke Jusshoku' for the first time. Since then this has been their common name.
