The significance of three generations of Iemoto offering kencha tea in
Hawaii is particularly meaningful in that the set of two tenmoku
chawan used by Wakasosho at our 60th anniversary were also used by his
father and grandfather. The two chawan have Eiraku signature with
hakogaki of the late Sokuchusai Sosho and were given to Mrs. Sae
Tachikawa, founder of Omotesenke Domonkai Hawaii, after the Punchbowl
kencha in 1963. One chawan is a deep purple color and the second is a
brilliant yellow, each with a crest design.
